We figure there are very few people younger than us on the ship and many who are older or, just slower moving. Since many of our excursion choices have been classified as Moderate, we generally haven’t felt slowed down. Yesterday the tour was Easy and thus a different group with people requiring repeated instructions and/or an elevator whenever stairs were involved. Patience is required but everyone is accommodated with a smile and thus this kind of travel is possible for people who are far beyond travelling independently. We are lucky enough to prefer to just get going.
Every tour features a local expert with a mike. We all carry our own receivers and an ear bud and can wander at least 100 feet away and still hear our guide. It is a great invention - no need for jostling to hear properly - and freedom to move around to get a good shot or even to get away from the crowd.
